A new Baba Ijo has been ppointed for the Cathedral Church of Saint Mark, headquarters of the Anglican Diocese of Offa.

He is Chief Timothy Adebayo Wuraola (MFR) who was a one-time Auditor Generoa of Kwara State.

Aged 82 years, the new Baba Ijo who hails from Ola Oke's compound, Offa was until his new appointment the Baba Isale Ijo of the church.

He succeeds the late Baba Ijo of the church, Chief A. Olaniyu of Agbopa's compound, Offa who passed on some years ago.

He was also a former Treasurer of the national leadership of Offa Descendants' Union (ODU) and contributed immensely to the socio-economic advance-ment of Offa town in particular and Kwara State at large.

He retired as a civil servant on the 18th of August 2012.

The new Baba Ijo who is married and blessed with children will be formally installed on Saturday, 7th April, 2012 at the cathedral church of Saint Mark, Offa beginning at 10am.

Others to the installed along with him are the Balogun Ijo, Otun Ijo, Baba Isale Ijo. Baba Ewe and lyo Ewe Ijo.

Meanwhile, in dividable and groups including the National leadership of Offa Descendants Union (ODU) have been rejoicing with chief T.A Wuraola MFR on his new appointment.
