I will use Kwara Resources Equitably, Judiciously If Elected - Ajibola
Sen. Ajibola gave the promise on Thursday in Omupo during the second leg of his campaign to Ifelodun local government area of the state.
He promised that if the people elect him as governor, there would be no capital flight from the state and make use of local contractors in executing government projects.
"PDP is out to serve the people of Kwara, to alleviate the suffering of the people and not to embezzle state fund," Ajibola said.
According to him, his government would be a listening one with open door policy where decisions would be jointly taken.
The PDP governorship candidate declared that there was no god father in PDP as was the case with the ruling APC.
He said that he essence of freedom everybody was yearning for was to have a voice in governance and not the one been controlled by one man.
Ajibola who met with the council of traditional rulers in Omupo promised to improve on their welfare in order to elevate their status among brother Obas in other states.
He informed the traditional rulers that that lack of infrastructure in the state was as a result of unnecessary deduction from local governments' funds.
Ajibola therefore called on the traditional rulers to appeal to their subjects outside the state to come home to vote for PDP and participate in the economy turnaround of Kwara.
The traditional rulers prayed for Sen. Ajibola's success at the polls and appealed to him to focus on road construction and provision of social infrastructure if elected.
The Oloro of Oro Ago, Oba Johnson Olarewaju Dada lamented the total neglect of his domain by succeeding administrations in the state.
He said his community has been backward when it comes to social amenities as it has not witnessed 1% development since 1970.
Oba Dada appealed to Sen. Ajibola to look into the area of provision of road, water and healthcare facility if he became the governor.
