Bricklayers lose leader
The late Alhaji Tiamiyu Shittu Olobi died on Friday, 23rd March 2012 at the age of 80 years while the fidau was held on Sunday, 25th March 2012.
Until his death, he was the treasurer, offa Bricklayers' Union and patron of the home Brach of Offa Descendants' Union who*" contributed immensely to the development of Offa.
He is survived by a wife, seven children, many grand and great grandchildren, among whom are Tajudeen, Rasheedat, Raflu, Adijat, Suleiman, Arainat as well as his immediate junior brother and a socialite, Alhaji Saliu Shittu, popularly called Saliu Olobi.
In his fidau prayer, the Imam of Oja Oba Mosque, Offa, Alhaji Yunus Oba urged Muslim faithful to always do good as no one knows the day of death.
He urged then to use their wealth to assist the poor, needy and the less privileged.
He extolled the virtues of the deceased and urged his children to emulate his exemplary life.
