Press Release: Kwara PDP congratulates Police Commissioner over promotion
The promotion is well deserved.
The PDP noted with delight the fact that Mr. Aisabor, for the short time he was at the helms of the affairs of the Kwara command, policed the state without fear or favour. To his credit, the state witnessed a reduced crime rate and the prompt arrest of criminals including the arrest of a serving Special Adviser (SA) to the Kwara State Governor for his involvement in the vandalisation of the campaign materials of some chieftains of the PDP and the latest, being the arrest of two APC women leaders from Asa Local Government area, caught with several pieces of the INEC Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) in Ilorin on Tuesday.
In the face of an unprecedented intimidation and inducement by the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), he remained true to this calling as a thoroughbred professional.
We recall that the APC had on Sunday 9th February, 2014 accused Mr. Aisabor of all sort of unfounded allegations. Even after the CP has personally assured the APC of his impartiality, the leadership of the party still went ahead, without a modicum truth, and alleged that Aisabor was deployed to Kwara to do the bidding of the opposition.
Today, Aisabor's performance in office and his practical sense of justice to the political class has put a lie to the several reckless allegations of the APC against the CP. In a saner clime, the APC leadership would by now have had their heads buried in shame for the several allegations of bias leveled against the CP before he even assumed duty earlier in the year. One only hopes that the APC would have the courage to apologise to the CP who they lied against and the unsuspecting members of the public who believed their lies.
From all members of the Kwara PDP, we wish Mr. Ambrose Aisabor the very best now and always.
