A housewife, Kaosarat Saheed,  has  told an Ilorin Area Court  in Kwara  State that her husband, Shehu Saheed, has no regard and respect for her parents.

Thirty-year-old Kaosarat,  who resides at Sabo-Oke Area of Ilorin,  Kwara State capital, urged the court to dissolve  her  four-year-old marriage to Saheed over lack of respect  for her parents.

Kaosarat told the court that Saheed  was always rude to her parents not minding  that they were his in-laws.

“My husband is fond of addressing my parents  rudely as if he’s the one providing for their needs.

“He  once  warned my mum  never  to  interfere in his family matters,’’ she said.

According to Kaosarat, their  marriage was contracted in 2010 and had produced a female child.

“My lord, I can’t  tolerate such from him anymore because my parents are  dear to me and deserve some respect,” she said.

The respondent objected to the prayer of his wife, saying he was still interested in the marriage.

“My wife’s  parents always poked around my family affair which I don’t like,” he said.

Saheed promised to respect his in-laws and prayed the court  to adjourn the case to enable him reconcile with his wife.

The  case was  adjourned  till April 3.
