Water 'restored' in Ilorin - Commissioner

The Kwara Commissioner for Water Resources, Mr Abubakar Garba-Idris, on Tuesday blamed the recent water scarcity in Ilorin on power failure at the water works. Garba-Idris, however, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Ilorin that water had been restored, after the ministry intervened to restore power.

The Commisioner's assertion runs contrary to the situation on the ground as water had been scarce long before the recent power failure.
