Bolaji Abdullahi commends Kwara on sports development

Honourable Minister of Sports and Chairman of the National Sports Commission (NSC), Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, has commended the Kwara State Government for its sports friendly posture.

The Minister made the commendation during the flag-off of the SuperSports/Omoluabi Foundation Let's Play Activation.

On the programme, Abdullahi urged the participants to embrace sports and be serious with their academic programmes.

Meanwhile, the Kwara State Government says football pitches and other sporting facilities would be built across the state as part of efforts to boost sports development.

The State Governor, Dr. Abdulfatah Ahmed, according to his Chief Press Secretary, Alhaji Abdulwahab Oba, made this declaration during the opening ceremony of the SuperSports/Omoluabi Foundation Let's Play Activation.

"Governor Ahmed also said that the Kwara Football Academy (KFA) would be upgraded to bring it up to speed with what was require for it to bring out the best in children who embrace football.

"He also assured participants that as a sports loving administration, the outstanding ones would be encouraged to realise their dreams of becoming football superstars in the future," Oba said.
