The Senator reresenting Kwara Central Senatorial District at the Senate, and the immediate past Governor of Kwara State, Senator Abubakar Bukola Saraki has been offered Africa's Emerging Political Icon Award and honourary citizen of the Stat of  Georgia by the African Leadership Magazine.
The award will be presented at an Award Gala Dinner scheduled to hold on at Hyatt Regency Hotel, Atlanta, USA on June 25, 2013.
A request letter signed by the Editor-in-Chief/CEO of the magazine, Ken Giami stated that, “we write to invite you to the presentation of award to H.E. Senator Bukola Saraki (CON) in recognition of his enormous contribution to the development of Kwara State and Nigeria by extension as a leading political icon and a legislator of repute.
Therefore, the organizers explained that the Kwara State and its people has benefited in the awardee's dream of a propersous Kwara State, greater Nigerian and a more United Africa, as a result of which the government and its people should share in the moment of glory with the awardee.
