Belgore a jester, says Kwara PDP

Date: 2013-05-22

Reacting to a statement credited to embattled ACN's gubernatorial candidate in the 2011 general election, Dele Belgore, SAN, the Kwara State Peoples' Democratic Party said that the defeated candidate is a jester seeking for undeserved attention.
The statement, according to the PDP has also presented a clear picture of Belgore as one who thrives only in promoting propaganda and desirous only in seeking for avenues to  get its voice registered since he is far away from realities and his link with the masses has since been severed after the last general election where he lost woefully.
The PDP as a party believes in the supreme reasoning that source of power rests solely with the people and the party has never relented or rested on its oars rather has jealously and religiously showed commitment in ensuring the link with the grassroots is sustained and maintained.
According to Afolayan, those at the helms of affairs in the state has also towed the lines by ensuring delivery of dividends of democracy to the people.
Imbued with the spirit of sustaining the links with the people the party took another step in the right direction by appointing canvassers at the local government levels to feel the purse of the people and feed the party back on other areas that needed to be touched.
It is astonishingly annoying that the ACN, as an opposition party is ordinarily expected to be constructive in its criticism, could go dirty by attempting to score cheap political points with an idea and programme genuinely pursued by the party.
Prince Yemi Afolayan emphasised that only a clown will claim ignorant of many achievements of the PDP administration in the state.
Belgore has demonstrated clearly that he is blissfully ignorant of how political parties are run.
It is clear also that ACN still suffers hangover of the military style and needs to be purged of such traits.
