The Task Team Leader of the African Development Bank (ADB), Mr Danladi Ebbah has commended the FADAMA office, Ilorin for full implementation of fadama farmers assisted projects, even as farmers solicited for the extension of the programmes.

Ebbah stated this today during the ADB Project Completion Report Mission visit by the team along side with a workshop held at fadama’s office Ilorin.

He stated that the project has recorded success in the course of implementation which has reduced the suffering of the farmers across the state.

According to him, the workshop was organised to review the challenges encountered at the implementation of the programme which will enable effective plan for future programmes

Speaking at the event, the Kwara State Coordinator for fadama, Usman Akanbi commended African development Bank for its support, saying the project has improved the livelihood of farmers and kwarans at large.

The state Commissioner for Agriculture and Natural resources, Bode Olayemi appreciated African Development Bank effort, saying the state government would continue to embark on programmes that would have positive impact on kwarans.

Two farmers, Alhaji Ibrahim Bello from Ilorin east local government and Mrs Sahid from Oke oyi solicited for the extension of the progamme, explaining that it has improve their lives through provision of input by FADAMA.
