Cleric Counsels Politicians at Fidau for Mrs. Adebimpe

Date: 2013-04-28

Politicians in the country have been admonished to consider preparation for death as a priority than nursing any political ambition against the 2015 general election.

An Ilorin-based cleric and Mukadam Agba for Ilorin, Sheikh Sulaiman Dan- Bornu, made the call yesterday during the Fidau prayer held for wife of the Publicity Secretary of the Kwara state chapter of the People's Democratic Party, Hajia Biliqis Adebimpe in Ilorin.

Dan-Borno also urged politicians to always have the fear of God in their mind as they discharge their duties.

He stressed that death is an inevitable end of all mortals, adding that the people must consider the death of deceased as a challenge to everyone.

The cleric told the politicians to impact positively on the lives of the masses rather than engaging in unrewarding activities, saying that whatever they acquired in this live is vanity.

He also advised politicians not to delay their plans for the people, saying that death may come at any time.

He also extolled the virtues of the deceased, describing her as committed Muslim and therefore admonished the bereaved to always remember her in prayer.

The deceased who died at earlier hour of Sunday had since been buried in accordance with Islamic injunction.

The fidau prayer which was led by the Chief Imam of Ilorin, Sheikh Mohammed Bashir and assisted by the Imam Imale of Ilorin, Alhaji Abdullahi AbdulAmeed was attended by the Deputy Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly, Prof Mohammed Issa Gana, the state PDP Chairman, Hon.
