APC Vows to Take Kwara State from PDP
The leadership of All Progressive Congress (APC) in Kwara has said that the new party will send the ruling PDP away from the state.
The leadership made this known on Tuesday at a joint press conference by the state chairmen of CPC, Suleiman Buhari, ACN, Kayode Olawepo, and ANPP, Taiye Eleja.
The ACN chairman, who read the press statement signed by the three chairmen, said that APC had come to rescue the people of the state from the shackles of the ruling PDP.
He, therefore, called on the people of the state to support APC, as the party was committed to total emancipation of the people.
“It is in this wise that I call on the good people of Kwara not to leave this task to us alone.
“You should support us actively with prayers, logistic, human and capital resources in our bid to salvage our state from the old jaw of PDP,” Olawepo said.
The ACN Chairman assured the people of the state that the leadership of APC was not driven by greedy bid to grab power by all means.
He said APC leaders were moved by commitment to arrest the current drift in the state and rescue it from despair and hopelessness that had characterised the PDP government in the state.
Olawepo said that APC would soon come up with a more realistic, humane and globally acclaimed alternative action plan in line with the ideology that would be adopted by the leaders.
He said this would be anchored on ideological spectrum of centre to the left with a pro-people’s welfarism package.
The ACN chairman said that APC would approach the forthcoming local government elections with vigour in order to win all the seats in the 16 local government councils in the state.
He condemned the establishment of an International Aviation College by the PDP government in the state while the public schools’ infrastructure were crumbling.
