INEC Kwara Receives 32,518 PVCs, Urges Eligible Voters to Collect Their Cards

Date: 2026-10-14

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Kwara State says it has received 32,518 Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) for collection by eligible voters.

The Head of Public Affairs and Protocol Unit at the INEC office in Kwara State, AbdulKadir Ibrahim, stated this while speaking with journalists in Ilorin.

He said the cards were for voters who requested transfers, replacements and updates to their registration information during the 2025 exercise and previous voter registration exercises.

AbdulKadir explained that PVCs for newly registered voters were not yet available, adding that the distribution of the available cards was ongoing alongside the display of the national voters' register across the state's 193 wards.

He said the register had been pasted at ward-level locations, also known as Registration Area Centres, to enable voters to verify their details.

The INEC official added that the available PVCs at the ward-level offices would be moved to 16 distribution centres at local government offices from Thursday.

He assured residents that PVCs for newly registered voters would be available soon.

AbdulKadir urged those who had yet to collect their cards to take advantage of the current arrangements and collect them at the ward level before they were moved to the local government distribution centres.
