The Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has called on Nigerians to embrace unity and peaceful coexistence, emphasising the need for collective efforts towards building a stronger and more prosperous nation.
Governor AbdulRazaq made the appeal on Wednesday shortly after observing the Eid al-Adha prayers at the Ilorin Central Praying Ground alongside the Emir of Ilorin, Dr Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, senior government officials, traditional rulers, political leaders, and thousands of Muslim faithful.
He said: "We thank Almighty Allaah for making us witness another Eid. My message is about peace, unity, and progress of the country. I wish us all Eid Mubarak."

The Eid prayer, conducted in a peaceful atmosphere, attracted a large turnout of worshippers and dignitaries from across the Ilorin Emirate.
Among those in the Governor's entourage were the Mutawali of Ilorin, Dr Alimi AbdulRazaq; the Turaki of Ilorin and Senator representing Kwara Central, Saliu Mustapha; and APC chieftain, Attahiru AbdulKadir Manko.
