Remo Stars secured a vital 3-1 victory over Kwara United in a thrilling Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) clash Sunday.

The win provides a significant boost to the defending champions' fight against relegation, despite an early setback.

Kwara United stunned the home crowd in the 34th minute when Y. Ibrahim found the back of the net, putting the visitors ahead 1-0.

However, Remo Stars responded swiftly, with A. Akinyele levelling the score at 1-1 just four minutes later, sending both teams into halftime with the game finely poised.

The second half saw Remo Stars assert their dominance. H. Haruna broke the deadlock in the 70th minute, giving the home side a crucial 2-1 lead. Just three minutes later, V. Mbaoma sealed the victory with a well-taken goal, making it 3-1 and securing all three points for Remo Stars.
