Prince Sunday Fagbemi has been returned as Chairman of the Kwara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) following the party's state congress held on Tuesday.

The event, held in Ilorin, was attended by top party leaders, including Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, and other stakeholders.

Addressing party members, Governor AbdulRazaq said the APC continues to gain ground across the country, describing it as the dominant political party in Nigeria.

He attributed the party's growing strength to competence and progressive leadership, expressing confidence in the APC's chances in future elections.

The governor also commended President Bola Tinubu, stating that Nigerians can attest to the level of growth recorded under his administration.

Mallam AbdulRazaq urged party stakeholders to remain united and avoid complacency, stressing that sustained effort is required to consolidate political gains.

He reiterated that he has not appointed any successor ahead of the 2027 governorship election, saying the eventual outcome would be determined by due process and divine will.

In his acceptance remarks, Prince Fagbemi thanked party leaders and members for the renewed mandate, describing his re-election as a vote of confidence in his leadership.

He called on elders and stakeholders to remain united and focused as preparations begin for the 2027 general elections.
