Kwara United Coach Blames Poor Run on Loss of Form, Player Departures

Date: 2026-01-30

Kwara United technical adviser, Ashifat Suleiman, has attributed the team's current struggles to a loss of form and the departure of key players.

The Harmony Boys are yet to record a win in the second stanza of the season.

Kwara United suffered a 1-0 defeat to Kun Khalifat FC in their Matchday 23 encounter in Owerri on Thursday.

Suleiman, however, assured that the club will strengthen its squad with new players before the close of the transfer window.

"This is a difficult moment for us. We have not scored a goal since the start of the second stanza," Suleiman told Kwara United's media.

He added, "We've lost form and some players to foreign trials, but we will surely strengthen the squad and ensure we maintain our league status."
