Kwara Poly NAKSS Commends Rector For Degree Partnership With UNILORIN
The National Association of Kwara State Students (NAKSS), Kwara State Polytechnic Chapter, has lauded the Rector of the institution, Engr. Dr. Abdul Jimoh Mohammed, for the significant developmental milestones recorded under his administration.
The association's President, Ahmed Abdulkabir Ishowo, gave the commendation while reviewing the progress of the institution. He specifically highlighted the historic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between Kwara State Polytechnic and the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN), which is set to pave the way for the introduction of degree programmes within the polytechnic.
Ishowo described the partnership as a game-changer for students seeking higher academic qualifications without leaving the polytechnic environment.
Beyond academic expansion, the NAKSS President praised the Rector's "Commercial Farm Produce Initiative." He noted that the project is a vital contribution to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq's broader food security agenda for the state, showcasing the institution's ability to drive agricultural innovation.
The association also singled out the newly established Patient-Centric Diagnostic Centre for praise. Ishowo described the facility as one of the most outstanding projects on campus, noting its role in providing high-quality healthcare services not only to staff and students but also to the surrounding communities in Kwara State.
In addition, Ishowo praised the establishment of the Kwara State Polytechnic Microfinance Bank, noting that the initiative would enhance financial inclusion for students and staff, while also serving the wider public.
The association also expressed appreciation to the Kwara State Government for its continuous support to the management of the Polytechnic, which it said has enabled the successful execution of key projects.
They pledged continued support to the institution's management, assuring cooperation to ensure sustained progress.
