Two Chinese Nationals Kidnapped from BUA Road Construction Site in Ejidongari Site of Bode Saadu
Two Chinese nationals working at a road construction site in Kwara State were abducted by armed men in the early hours of Monday, December 2, 2025.
The victims were part of the team handling the BUA Bode Saadu/Kaiama/Kosubosu road project when the attack occurred at the facility located in the Ejidongari district of Moro Local Government Area.
Sources reported that the attackers, who arrived wearing masks, invaded the site while shooting several shots to scare away residents and workers before whisking the two Chinese workers away. Security sources indicate the attack occurred sometime between 11 p.m. on Sunday, December 1st, and 4 a.m. on Monday, December 2nd.
The Commissioner of Police in the state, Adekimi Ojo, confirmed the incident in a telephone chat on Thursday night, December 4, 2025.
"Yes, the two Chinese were abducted from the construction site. But we have not heard from them yet as the kidnappers have not called as we speak," he said, indicating that as of Thursday night, no ransom demand had been made.
This incident marks the latest in a series of violent attacks, including recent kidnappings in Eruku and the continued security concerns that led to the temporary closure of the KWASU Ilesha-Baruba campus.
