Ilorin Gets Accion's 74th Branch as Bank Aims to Boost Financial Access for Small Businesses
Accion Microfinance Bank (Accion MfB) has expanded its presence in Nigeria with the launch of its 74th branch in Ilorin, the capital of Kwara State. The new outlet, opened earlier this month, was inaugurated at an event attended by key stakeholders, community leaders, staff, and customers.
The bank highlighted its commitment to delivering accessible and affordable financial services to individuals, traders, and small businesses, underscoring its mission to empower underserved communities.
Speaking at the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Managing Director Taiwo Joda stated: "This expansion aligns with our strategic vision to grow our network and retail business, positively impacting the aspirations of our growing customer base and the broader public."
The branch opening reflects Accion MfB's focus on financial inclusion, aiming to provide tailored solutions for microentrepreneurs and households in Ilorin and surrounding areas.
He also emphasised that through a customer-centric approach and value-orientated services, Accion MfB is coming from a position of knowledge and experience, which allows the bank to effectively address customers' banking needs by providing personalised solutions.
The new branch features quality facilities designed for convenience, security, and efficiency. Customers can access a wide range of services, including business and personal loans, savings, fast and secure digital banking, and dedicated customer support.
Before the opening, the bank conducted a two-day market storm across key commercial areas in Ilorin, engaging traders and residents to raise awareness about the bank's services.
With this development, customers around the axis now have another convenient location for their transactions to further enjoy the value-added offerings that the bank has been known for since its establishment 19 years ago.
Accion Microfinance Bank says it remains committed to providing innovative financial solutions and exceptional customer service, empowering individuals and communities to thrive, and will continue to unveil customer value propositions that provide ongoing support and financial resources to help businesses.
