Kwara Commissioner for Solid Minerals Seeks Collaboration with KWIRS to Boost Revenue
The Kwara State Commissioner for Solid Minerals Development, Chief (Mrs.) Abosede Olaitan Buraimoh, has called for stronger collaboration between the Kwara State Internal Revenue Service (KWIRS) and her ministry to enhance revenue generation and economic growth in the state.
Speaking during a courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman of KWIRS, Buraimoh emphasized that after engaging with stakeholders in the solid minerals sector, it became evident that maintaining a harmonious working relationship with haulage revenue consultants and other stakeholders is crucial for sustainable development.
She highlighted the importance of a structured revenue collection system in the solid minerals industry, noting that effective collaboration with KWIRS would ensure that the state maximizes its revenue potential.
In response, the Executive Chairman of KWIRS, Shade Omoniyi, reaffirmed the agency's commitment to fostering sustainable partnerships with stakeholders in the solid minerals sector, stating that collaborative efforts will position Kwara State for greater economic success.
Omoniyi assured the Commissioner that, Agency would continue to support the ministry, in order to yield a significant impact on Revenue Generation for the State.
