Kwara United Abolishes Gate Fees for NPFL Home Matches
Kwara United have scrapped the collection of gate fees for their home matches in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) for the remainder of the season.
The Harmony Boys announced the decision following a stakeholders' meeting held at the Kwara State Sports Commission Conference Room on Tuesday.
In a statement, the club's management urged all football stakeholders and supporters to turn out in large numbers to rally behind the team during its remaining fixtures.
“Following the recommendations reached at a stakeholders' meeting held at the Kwara State Sports Commission Conference Room on Tuesday, 25 March, members of the public are hereby informed that management have decided to open all Kwara United FC home matches to the public, free of charge, until the end of the season,” Kwara United stated after their meeting.
“Management requests all football stakeholders and fans to come out en masse to support our beloved team to the end at the Rashidi Yekini Main Bowl of the Agbazika Innih Stadium, Ilorin.”
Kwara United ended their two-game winless run with a 1-0 win over Nasarawa United on Wednesday.
