As part of efforts of the Kwara State Government through the Basic Health Care Provision Fund (BHCPF), in ensuring that quality health care services are delivered at all government owned facilities, the State Government has again flagged-off the renovation of three additional Primary Health Care Centres (PHCs) in the State with a view to improving access to quality and affordable health care services.
At the flag-off ceremony, the project sites were handed-over to various Contractors at different locations to commence renovation of the facilities.
The facilities are Adana PHC (Kaiama Local Government Area); Budo Egba PHC (Asa Local Government Area); and Oke-Onigbin PHC, (Isin Local Government Area).
The Executive Secretary, Kwara State Primary Health Care Development Agency, Dr. Nusirat Elelu, officially handed-over the projects to the qualified Contractors that are going to take possession and renovate these facilities after fulfilling the procurement process, adding that work should commence immediately on the three health facilities.
