Professor Badmas Lanre Yusuf was born into the esteemed Maimasa family in the Gambari Quarters of Ilorin, where he began his journey in Arabic and Islamic studies. His foundational education in these fields was enriched through his early training at Darul Ulum, an Ilorin institution affiliated with the renowned Markaz Ta'līm al-Arabi wal Islam in Agege, Lagos.
