According to a news report from New Telegraph, the Michael Imoudu National Institute for Labour Studies (MINILS) in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, has achieved full accreditation for its B.Sc. programme in Industrial Relations and Personnel Management from the National Universities Commission (NUC).

Mrs. R. O. Solomon, the Acting Head of the Department of Special Duties, stated that this development marks another historic milestone in the life of the institute since its establishment about 40 years ago.

The institute was founded with the mandate of building the capacity of workers, government officials, and employers of labour to achieve industrial harmony and sustainable development in Nigeria.

“Recall that the institute recently matriculated 84 students enrolled into the proramme which commenced in 2020.

“Consequently, mobilisation into the Youth Service Corps Scheme will be granted to all MINILS' B.Sc. students

“The Management of the Institute wishes to reaffirm its commitment to achieving its vision of becoming a Regional Centre of Excellence in Labour Studies and a globally renowned Labour institution.

“We are grateful to our team of hardworking staff for their efforts towards the achievement of this great feat.”
