FG Delivers New Grains to Kwara Govt, Distribution Begins Soon
Kwara State Government said it has received 12,058 bags of grains of maize, millet, and sorghum from the Federal Government.
Mrs. Bola Olukoju the State Commissioner for Communications disclosed this in a statement issued on Thursday.
The breakdowns of the 12,058 are: 7,042 of 50kg bags of maize; 2,916 of 50kg bags of millet; and 2,100 of 50kg bags of sorghum (which are still being received as at today).
The state government also announced the receipt of 8,700 of 25kg bags of rice, according to a statement by the Commissioner for Communications Mrs Bola Olukoju.
The statement said the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security Senator Abubakar Kyari will flag off the distribution of the grains in the state very soon — in manners that would follow the distribution template sent by the Federal Government.
The state government has constantly supported the Kwara public to cope with the inconveniences that trailed the removal of fuel subsidy.
