The Gamji Members' Association (GAMA) has extolled the 28-year reign of the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, describing it as successful, eventful and peaceful.

This was contained in a statement signed by its President General, Alhaji Mohammed Tunde Akanbi, and the Director of Publicity, Alhaji Abdullahi Olesin, on the occasion of the 28th anniversary of the emir's ascension to the throne of his forefathers.

(GAMA is an association devoted to the promotion of the ideals of the late Sardauna of Sokoto, Sir Ahmadu Bello).

The association praised the Emir, who doubles as Chairman, Kwara State Council of Traditional Rulers, for being an exemplary leader and remaining a symbol of peace and unity.

It noted that the Ilorin Emirate and indeed Kwara State have continued to witness development in all spheres in addition to harmonious and peaceful co-existence of people of diverse ethnic and religious backgrounds in the last 28 years of the emir's reign.
