Alhaji Olokooba lauded the gesture as it one of the ways to help discover talents from the grassroots.

He added that the state would was more than determined to ensure sports development and talent hunt in the state.

"This mindset informed the voting of over N1 billion to sports by the state government in this year's budget. This is unprecedented in the history of the state. Hitherto, between N300m and N400m was voted to sports development in the budgets," he noted.

He therefore urged other members of the public and corporate bodies to emulate the donor's gesture.
