The Kwara State government will commence the rehabilitation of Ajasse-Ipo-Offa-Erin-Ile federal road, which links Kwara State to Osun state, in the first quarter of 2013.

The state governor, Alh. AbdulFatah Ahmed disclosed this in Offa during the commissioning of Offa Descendants Union Town Hall. He stated that, "preliminary assessment and engineering have been completed on the road. We are awaiting federal government's nod on mode of the award and execution".

Ahmed who restated his administration's commitment to the completion of the on-going projects in the state, said "my administration has embarked on a comprehensive reconstruction of the Offa General Hospital, in order to boost Human Capital".

He commended the Olofa of Offa, Oba Mufutau Mohammed Gbadamosi and Offa community for completing the Town Hall project which he described as a "show piece in modern architecture".

He called on other communities in the state to emulate Offa community by embarking on self-help projects that could have bearing on the socio-economic and political developments of their various communities.

The Olofa of Offa, Oba Mufutau Mohammed Gbadamosi, in his remarks, expressed the gratitude of his community to the governor for the construction of Offa General Hospital and a number of road projects in the town.
