Kwara, Ekiti elections tribunal calls for support
The Governorship, National and State Houses of Assembly election petition tribunal for Kwara and Ekiti States has commenced sitting in Ilorin, with a plea to parties to cooperate.
Chairman of the three-man panel, Justice T.Asua, who made the call while speaking at the inaugural sitting of the Tribunal on Thursday, assured that they will be fair to all parties and strictly abide by their oath of office.
Other members of the panel include Justice O. Abdulmalik and Justice Rabi Bashir.
Justice Asua advised the parties to ensure compliance with the timing of the petition as specified by the law.
In his response on behalf of the parties involved in the petitions, Wahab Ismail promised that they will give the court the maximum cooperation required to enable it succeed.
The Tribunal has fourteen petitions filed, with Kwara having ten and Ekiti having four petitions.
