Kwara Plans Hall Of Fame For Citizens

The Kwara State governor, AbdulRahaman AbdulRazaq, on Sunday revealed plans to inaugurate a hall of fame to honour Kwarans who distinguish themselves in various areas.

Speaking at a programme organised by the Alumni of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabian Universities, Kwara State branch, in honour of Prof AbdulRazaq Alaro AbdulRazaq, who was conferred with an award of excellence by the Islamic University of Madina, Saudi Arabia, the governor said the hall of fame would be an integral part of the new Centre for Arts and Culture in the state.

The governor, who was represented by his SA on Strategy, Saadu Salahu, said, “This will further enhance and portray the achievements of such distinguished Kwarans and serve as role models to the younger generation.”

Prof Ibrahim Otuyo of AlHikma University, Ilorin, representing the Saudi Royal Ambassador, expressed delight about the long existing cordial bilateral relationship between Nigeria and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

He said the Saudi government was proud of the exploits of Prof AbdulRazaq who was selected for the Islamic University of Madina's award which was for only 10 of its alumni globally.
