Tribunal nullifies Offa LG councillorship election
Nullifying the election in Ilorin, a member of the three man Tribunal, Area Court Judge David Olorunnishola , said the election was nullified for non-compliance with the Electoral Act 2010 as amended.
Mr. Olorunnisola said the Kwara State Independent Electoral Commission only gave notice for a fourteen days bye-election instead of Ninety days re-run election as stipulated by the Local Government Electoral Law of 2010 as amended.
The Tribunal said the Councillorship Electoral in Offa was a re-run election of the aborted election of Two thousand and ten and not a bye-election.
