Abubakar Olusola Saraki is Dead
The strongman of Kwara State politics, Dr. Abubakar Olusola Saraki, is dead.
Saraki, who has been in and out of hospitals in the last two years, it was learnt, died in Lagos this morning (Wednesday).
Sources said he died in his Lagos home.
A close aide of the former Senate Majority Leader and Waziri of Ilorin confirmed the development.
At the time of this report mourners had started to gather at his Ilofa road residence in Ilorin
Saraki who was born on May 17, 1933 in Ilorin, Kwara State was Senate Leader in the 2nd republic. He was the godfather of Kwara politics for over three decades.
According to a statement by the burial committee, Olusola Saraki will be buried today in Ilorin at his Ilofa road, GRA residence by 4pm
