Erin-Ile community in Oyun Local Government Area of Kwara State on Thursday raised the alarm over increasing accidents on the Offa-Erin-Ile Road which links Kwara and Osun states.

The National President, Erin-Ile Progressive Union, Group Captain Salami Osuolale, at Erin-Ile Day pre-media briefing on Thursday at Erin-Ile, said the road had become a nightmare to motorists and other road users.

He called on the federal and Kwara State governments to urgently construct or rehabilitate the road to avoid further hardship on the road users.

He, however, commended the Osun State Government for rehabilitating the Osun State axis of the road.

"We are happy that the Osun State Government is repairing its own end linking our community. So if Kwara does not take care of us, Osun State will do that," Osuolale said.

He stated that the community needed about N200m for its community projects and appealed to the Federal Government for support.
