Kwara united won't get carried away by win over Plateau - Biffo

Date: 2021-01-02

Kwara United boss Abdullahi Biffo has stated that his side will not be carried away by the noise and accolades of her success following a shock 2-0 win over league defending Champion Plateau united on matchday one ahead of the visit of Enyimba on matchday two.

Biffo speaking in a chat with brila.net said the win no doubt was huge for the club but that they will still be working on correcting little mistakes ahead of the visit of Enyimba on Sunday.

He added that the league is a marathon and hence the club are not getting ahead of themselves in their estimation of what the first-round win could mean for the Ilorin-based top-flight side.

"The league is a marathon race, we have to keep on winning. To win one match does not make you a champion out of 38 games. So we will not allow the Plateau win to get into our heads. We have to look at correcting little mistakes. We will play Enyimba next and prepare well. We have to keep on improving every day.
