The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Council of Chiefs, Mai-Martaba Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, has facilitated with the Kwara State Governor, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq as his mother, Hajia Raliat Abdulrazaq clocks 90 today.

The celebrant is the wife of the Mutawali of Ilorin, Alhaji A.G.F Abdulrazaq (SAN).

Alhaji Sulu-Gambari noted with delight that the celebrant has unique places in the history of Nigeria as the wife of the first lawyer in the northern region, philanthropist per excellence, founder of Raliat Foundation and mother of the current Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq among others.

This is contained in a statement issued on Tuesday by the Emir's Media Aide, Mallam Abdulazeez Arowona, congratulating Hajia Raliat Abdulrazaq. He stressed that attainment of old age is a special gift from God in demonstration of His love and favour on His creatures.

Alhaji Sulu-Gambari maintained that, "Alhaja Raliat remain remain a quintessential woman of valour who has over the years dedicated her life to God supporting community services, child's and family upbringing and providing mentorship to younger generations in a bid to making the society more peaceful.

"She is indeed an epitome of tolerance, wisdom and good conduct. She is a supportive pillar to the highly respected Mutawali of Ilorin, Alhaji A.G.F. who has by his hardwork and knowledge positioned Ilorin community on the global map as the first lawyer to wear the silk in the entire northern Nigeria."

The Emir however thanked Allah for the life of the celebrant and congratulated her on the long standing achievements and success recorded in the past years.

He therefore rejoiced with Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq and his siblings for the care they are providing for their aged parent and prayed that Allah will continue to strengthen the celebrant, her husband as well as the entire people of Ilorin Emirate and beyond.
