NYSC Posting: Anxiety Trails Release of Mobilisation List in Unilorin
Reactions have continued to trail the release of the mobilisation list for students of the University of Ilorin who will be going for the national youth service this year.
According to information made available to Campus Square, the list was pasted on the Students' Affairs block last week Thursday.
The list, according to sources, is not the posting but was released to enable students who may want to influence their posting to do so before they are posted to serve with Batch ‘C' Corp members in November this year.
Students have been anxious to know where they will be posted to as they have been reportedly scared of the Boko Haram menace which has seemingly targeted corps members in recent years.
"I'm not going to influence my posting whatsoever. It's not that I'm not scared of the Boko Haram onslaught; I just don't want to do anything about the posting. What if I influence the posting to an area where the menace will affect me?" queried, Ajibola Fatai, a Computer Science graduate of the institution.
Another student also expressed confidence that the posting process would favour her, stressing that she won't influence her posting and that even if she was posted to a Boko Haram invaded area, she won't redeploy.
Damilola Moses, a Sociology graduate said: "My first joy is that my name is on the list. I won't influence the posting in anyway and even if I'm posted to a place where the Boko Haram menace is prevalent, I won't redeploy."
The mobilisation list contains names of students who will be posted for service in November this year.
