Embrace peace to attract progress Gov Abdulrazaq urges Kwarans

Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has called on the people of Kwara State to embrace peace to attract development to the State.

Governor Abdulrazaq made the call today at a town hall meeting with the people of Erin-ile in Oyun Local Government Area of the State.

The Governor who was represented by his Deputy, Mr Kayode Alabi noted that development could not be recorded in a chaotic environment appealing to the people to embrace peace.

He called on them to shun destructive tendencies and work for the progress of the town and of the State in general.

Governor AbdulRazaq noted that it is the responsibilities of the people to maintain and sustain a peaceful environment.

The Governor called on the people to be vigilant, respect constituted authority and security personnel.

He stated that the present administration would not condone indiscipline.

In his contribution, the Chief of Staff, Alhaji Aminu Logun said the team came to the town on the directive of Governor Abdulrazak.

Alhaji Logun appealed to the Youth to be orderly and respect the government.

Alhaji Logun condemned the vandalization of the police Station in the town.

The Elerin of Erin-ile, Oba AbdulGaniyu Ibrahim Ajibola Olusookun the second described the unruly behaviour of the Youth as disheartening.

Oba Ajibola assured that such would not repeat itself in the Community and prayed for the success of the present government.

One of the Aides to the Deputy Governor, Barrister Hassan Garuba who had his Secondary education in Erin-ile described the people of the town as loving and peaceful emphasised the need to adequately educate the youth.

The Deputy Chairman All Progressives Congress APC in Oyun Local Government, Alhaji Tajudeen Abioye pledged their loyalty to the government calling on Elders to always educate and counsel the Youth.

Earlier in his address of welcome, Retired General Saliu Bello noted that Erin-ile has ever been known as a peaceful town and prayed for the success of the present administration.
