Kwara warns against alteration of birth certificates

Date: 2012-02-21

The Kwara State Head of Service, Alhaji Muhammad Dabarako, yesterday warned civil servants in the state against altering their birth certificates, saying such would attract stiff disciplinary actions.

Dabarako,  who gave the warning while addressing workers after  a health walk organized by his office, said, "News got to us that some workers are doctoring their files to prolong their service .If you over stay , you will be keeping some people away from getting to certain positions. If you have attained the age of 60 or have spent 35years in service, retire honourably".

The four kilo-meter trek took off from the governor’s office along Ahmad Bello avenue, through post office, CBN, FRSC zonal office and back.  Dabarako, while tasking the workers to be security conscious, also urged them to work harder towards the development of the state.

"We also have information that some people are paying money to write examinations. This is not correct, and if anyone should ask you to bring money, write down the person’s name and send it to me directly," he said.
