Kwara South Senator, Dr Rafiu Ibrahim has expressed deep sadness over the death of Hon. Princess Funke Adedoyin, the member representing Irepodun/Ekiti/Isin/Oke-Ero Federal Constituency of Kwara State at the House of Representatives.

Senator Rafiu in a statement by his media aide, Abdulqadir Abdulganiyu described Adedoyin's death as shocking and painful. He commiserated with her parents, children, family members and the Agbamu Community.

The lawmaker also condoled the Leader, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki, the National Assembly, members of her constituency as well as the government and people of Kwara State.

Dr Rafiu said the deceased was a committed lawmaker who made meaningful contributions on the floor of the House and performed her legislative duties with utmost dedication.

He further described Adedoyin as a grassroot politician who was dedicated to the service of his people, noting that this is evident through the various community projects and empowerment programmes she facilitated to her constituency.

The Senator prayed God Almighty bless and forgive the soul of the deceased, and grant the family and other well-wishers the fortitude to bear the great loss.
