Kwara PDP guber aspirant preaches peace among Nigerians

Date: 2018-06-18

A 2019 governorship aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara State, Alhaji Mohammed Ibrahim Ajia, has called on Nigerians and Kwarans in particular to sustain the tempo of holiness and commitment to the practices and teachings of Islam derived from the just concluded holy month of Ramadan.

He also urged them to prioritize good deeds and neighbourliness as espoused in the noble Quran for peaceful and harmonious coexistence.

Ajia, founder of Mohammed Ajia Ibrahim Foundation (MAI Foundation), said this in a statement commemorating Eid-el-Fitri festival, a copy of which was made available to Journalists in Ilorin.

He admonished the youth in the state to keep hope alive and be more purposeful in their vision for a greater state by taking advantage of the forthcoming 2019 general elections to reshape and build a New Kwara for all.

The PDP governorship hopeful prayed to Almighty God to continue to strengthen bond of love and unity among Kwarans and grant us lasting peace in the state.

He thanked the Emir of Ilorin and Chairman, Kwara State Council of Chiefs, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu Gambari, all traditional rulers and title holders for their tenacity of purpose and commitment to peaceful environment.

The PDP governorship aspirant congratulated Muslim faithful for the successful completion of this year's Ramadan and urged them to use the spiritual benefits accrued from it to pray fervently for restoration and sustenance of peace in the country.
