Easter: Ajia preaches love, sacrifice among Nigerians

Date: 2018-04-03

The Founder of Mohammed Ajia Ibrahim (MAI) Foundation, Alhaji Mohammed Ibrahim Ajia, has urged the citizens to embrace peace, love and unity in the face of adversaries confronting them.

Ajia specifically admonished them to cultivate selfless sacrifices and employ all available lawful channels to resolve their differences amicably rather than yielding to divisive tendencies capable of igniting conflict.

In his Easter Message issued in Ilorin, Ajia identified inflammatory comments as some of the factors festering disunity among Nigerians, saying that the nation is safe and secure through spirit of collectivity

He said patriotic citizens should not give way to questionable elements who are bent on bringing the country to a standstill by their actions and inactions.

Ajia, a retired senior police officer, expressed optimism that Nigeria has potentials to be pacesetter in the global arena owing to her distinct peculiarities, of which some other countries are not privilege to possess.

"In this season of love and sacrifice, it is incumbent on us Nigerians to tolerate one another, live in peace and not in pieces. Our aspirations are quick and better achieved when all of us work as a team and embrace spirit of collectivity.

"We must not yield to divisive tendencies, which could impede our attainment of greater goals. This country is blessed with human and material resources and because of these potentials alone, we can rule the world.

"There is no need for a soothsayer to reveal to us that there are questionable elements who are bent on igniting conflict and bringing this country to a standstill through inflammatory comments, actions or inactions. Our strength lies in our collective spirit put together.

"For Christian brethren, we need to remember that this period of Easter is a reflection of love, sacrifice, passion and unity of purpose in attaining our set goals. We must therefore see the need to always be our brothers keepers and avoid tendencies that could threaten our existence", the Founder of MAI FOUNDATION said.

Ajia also called on Kwarans not to loose hope in spite of the daunting challenges, assuring that there will be a new Kwara if we keep hope alive.
