JUBILATION IN OFFA AS SARAKI ROLLS OUT N9MILLION AS RELIEF FOR BURNT OWODE MARKET

Following the visit of Senate President Saraki to the ancient town of Offa yesterday, the senate president had that same yesterday directed his constituency office to immediately roll out a total sum of nine million naira (N9,000,000) as a succor for Owode market fire outbreak which claimed several properties belonging to Offa people .

There was obvious happiness on the faces of all top Offa dignitaries today who were at Mandate office of Senate President to receive the cash on behalf of Offa people particularly the affected market men and women

Presenting the cash to the representatives , the Director General of mandate, Alhaji Musa Abdullahi sympathised with the traders who were affected by the fire incidence and assured them of the Senate President resolves to always see their welfare as priority. "As a result of fire disaster Which occurred in Owode market last year, the Senate President has directed us at Abs Mandate Constituencyoffice to present Nine Million Naira to the market " the DG said.

Speaking at the occasion, The Iyaloja of Offa, Hajia Salat Adeola Ibrahim expressed her happiness and appreciation to Senate president Saraki for coming to the aides of the helpless market men and women who lost their properties to the unfortunate fire disaster. She described Senate President as a replica of his father who before his death used all he had to serve the less privileges . She assured the mandate office of Saraki unmatched popularity in Offa

" We are grateful but we are not suprised Saraki is doing this, he is taking after his late father , this is why more than 80% Offa people will continue to support his leadership, I have been with Saraki since 2003 and I will not look back because he cares for the less privileged in Offa. There's no alternative route to success, progress and prosperity in Kwara except Saraki " she said

Speaking further, The Babaloja of Owode market, Alhaji Moshood thanked the Senate President for making a promise to Offa people and fulfilling the promise in less than 24hrs . He also hailed the new leadership of mandate constituency office for their commitment to service.

in his speech, The chairman of offa local government, Architect Abdullateef Gbadamosi described the gesture exhibited by the Senate President as one which will give the people of Offa a deep sense of belonging under the leadership of Senate President Saraki in kwara
