Land Acquisition: Ahmed Holds Urbanisation Law, KWHA to Review Legislation
Governor Ahmed, in his Eid Ull Fitr message, enjoined the people to remain mindful of the tenets of Ramadan such as brotherhood and peaceful co-existence in their conduct while praying for unity and progress in the country.
In the spirit of responsive leadership, Governor Ahmed also announced that government is stepping down the application of the Urbanisation Law of 2009 in order to allow a reconsideration of the law by the state house of assembly.
Alhaji Ahmed called on all concerned stakeholders to refer any grievances on the application of the law to their representatives at the State House of Assembly which is scheduled to review the said legislation.
It will be recalled that Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union had protested in writing against the Urbanisation Law that came into effect during the administration of the Senator Bukola Saraki.
