As part of the preparation for the forthcoming local government election in Kwara state, the factional chairman of People Democratic Party (PDP) Prince Sunday Fagbemi has said yesterday that his camp will conclude sensitisation for election schedule tour today.

Fagbemi noted that his faction will be holding meeting with the stakeholders of the party in order to faction out modalities for the election.

According to him, his leadership will begin sensitization of the electorate across the sixteen local governments in the state; our people need the political education so that they can be awakened to their political rights.

He added that he will also be going out to mobilise his party members to come out and partake in the ongoing registration exercise of the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC).

Fagbemi further stressed that till this end, there is only one PDP in the state saying he is confidence of the fact that things will work out well in the party in due time.

He noted that members of his party across the state are ready for the poll saying they've promised to use their votes to dislodge the ruling government.

He further maintained the reigning government has shown electorate in different ways why they should not be voted for again in any election in the state or at the national level.

Recall that the party has been embroiled in one crisis or the other since it botched convention in April last year.

The crisis has factionalised the party members into which the camps, headed by Iyiola Oyedepo and Prince Sunday Fagbemi are claiming to be the genuine leadership of the party.
