The Community has been without electricity since December 6, 2016 after the old Transformer that had been serving the area for years developed a fault.

Dr John Olaniyan, the Chairman of the Community who inaugurated the Transformer with the support of Professor Abayomi Omotesho, Director of Academic Planning, University of Ilorin who is also a member of the community, told the IBEDC officials that the perimeter fence of the Transformer house has been raised in order to give more protection to it. Dr Olaniyan further pledged the unflinching support of Community through prompt payment of bills to the IBEDC.

Earlier, the Head of Branding & Corporate Communications, IBEDC, Mrs Angela Olarewaju and Revenue Optimisation Officer, Engineer? Ugwuoke appealed to residents of Masha Allaahu Community to ensure prompt settlement of their bills.

While appealing to them against energy theft, the IBEDC officials urged the Community members to report anyone caught in illegal connection through its Whistle Blower Policy.

Other IBEDC staff present at the new 300-KVA Transformer inauguration include Mr Peter Oni, Mr Kola Asaju, Mr Sunday Afolayan who is the Manager of Technical Operations, Agba Service Unit and Engineer Lara Oladipo, Maintenance Superintendent, Agba Service Unit, Ilorin.

IBEDC covers Kwara, Ogun, Osun, OYO and parts of Ekiti, Kogi and Niger states.
