Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly, Hon Ali Ahmad among other top dignitaries in the state yesterday mourned the death of the mother of the Managing Director/Editor-in-Chief of National Pilot Newspapers, Alhaji Billiameen Adedamola, Alhaja Amudalat Alake Olusesi.
Alhaja Olusesi, aged 85 years, died at her Lagos residence on Saturday, January 14, 2017 after a brief illness and had since been buried according to Islamic injections.
Until her death, she was the head of the Eletu-Iwashe royal family of Lagos. Her eight days Fidua has been scheduled for Saturday in Lagos.
In his message, Ali Ahmad, prayed for the repose of her soul and prayed Allah grant the deceased Aljana Fridaus.
"I learnt of the passing of Alhaja. May Allah bless her soul and grant her Aljana fridaus", the speaker added.
The Olofa of Offa, Oba Mufutau Gbadamosi Esuwoye II, former Minister of Sports and national Spokesperson of the APC, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, Chairman House of Representative Committee on Justice, Hon Razaq Atunwa and Hon Amuda Kannike made personal phones calls to Alhajai Adedamola to commiserate with the family on the loss and prayed God grant her eternal rest.
According to former Governor of Kwara State and Chairman, Senate Committee on National Security and Intelligence, Senator Sha'aba Lafiagi, "I'm sorry to hear about the demise of your mum. May her soul rest in peace. May Allah bless you and those she left behind.
In the same vein, Chairman Senate Committee on Banking and Insurance, Senator Rafiu Ibrahim, prayed God to rest her soul rest in peace.
Similarly, the chairman of the Kwara State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Alhaji Ladi Hassan requested Almighty Allah accepts her soul and grant Alhaji Adedamola and the family the fortitude to bear the loss.
Also in his reaction, Special Adviser (Media and Publicity), to the senate president, Yusuph Olaniyonu, prayed ‘Allah forgive her sins and grant her a place among the righteous ones in Aljana fridaus.
In their separate remarks, the spokesman of the Emir's Palace and the Magaji Nda of Ilorin, Alhaji Soliu Woru Muhammed and Dean, Post Graduate School, University of Ilorin, Professor Lanre Badmas, prayed for the reposed of her soul and the family the fortitude to bear the loss.
Other traditional figures who commiserated with the family were the Makama of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Oniye who also prayed for God to stand by the family "at this time of trial.
The Commissioner for information, Alhaji Mahmud Babatunde Ajeigbe and Special Assistant on Energy, Alhaji Musa Abdullahi also consoled the family in their separate messages.
The Rector of Kwara State Polytechnic, Alhaji Mas'ud Elelu prayed Allah grant her Aljanah and all the family members the fortitude to bear the loss.
Others who offer condolences were Alhaji Kayode Yusuf Maja, Barrister Funso Saad, Alhaji Abdullahi Olesin, Alli Olola, Nazir Zubair, Raheem Adedoyin, Tajudeen Kareem, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Lanre Jimoh, ex-Asa LG boss, Saka Obalana, Abdulkareem Adisa and the Kwara state chapter of NUJ.
