Eid-El-Kabir: Sacrifice and Patriotism is Crucial to Nigeria's Progress - Atunwa
In a press statement issued through his media office, Atunwa acknowledged the current economic difficulty and social insecurity confronting Nigeria as a nation.
"This year's Eid is coming amid many economic turbulence facing Nigeria; inflation, financial crisis, and unemployment among others. At this pressing phase of our existence as a nation, we must continue to offer prayers during holy celebrations like this. Further, we must become even more patriotic and committed to nation building. Inevitably this requires us to endure sacrifices in order to survive the current economic downturn"
Further speaking, Atunwa said "No nation has succeeded without huge sacrifices and patriotism, thus, we need those values more than ever before, because we live in testing times" he added.
He urged all Nigerians to reinstate commitment to the values that come with this special season, to all the things that will make Nigeria the most successful multi-ethnic, multi-faith democracy and economy on earth.
