Date: 2016-05-25

Players and officials of Kwara United FC have been charged to put in their best in their Round of 64 Federation Cup match against Galadima Best, holding on Wednesday in Abuja. Chairman of the Ilorin-based outfit, Prince Oladimeji Ladi Thompson gave the charge on Monday, ahead of the club's trip to Abuja for the knock-out encounter.

He said that much has been invested, and sacrifices made towards ensuring a good and result oriented outing throughout the competition, adding that the club will continue to prioritize the welfare of the players and officials to make them always put in their best at all times.

He commended the state government, under the leadership of Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed, the Ministry of Sports and Youth Development and all the stakeholders for their support to the team. According to Prince Oladimeji, the task of managing Kwara United FC is a collective responsibility of all.

He said that the re-structuring and re-positioning of the team is a continuous process, adding that the process can only be said to have started yielding results positively, with the club having good results in all the competitions the team participates in.

He reminded the players and officials that the circumstances surrounding the team has changed for better, no thanks to the commitment of the state government, even as he urged them to reciprocate the gesture by churning out good results starting from the match tomorrow (Thursday).

Meanwhile, the Technical Adviser of Kwara United FC, Coach John Sam Obuh has described Federation Cup as a daisy situation, especially considering that the team is still undergoing rebuilding process. He however, added that the team will make a positive statement with the materials available to him.
