Ahmed tasks NYSC corps on nation building
The Kwara State Governor, Abdulfatah Ahmed, tasked youth corps members posted to the state to groom themselves for the challenge of nation building, to make unity of the country stronger and its development faster.
Ahmed stated this on Wednesday at the state NYSC orientation camp at Yikpata in Edu local government, during the swearing-in of the 2012 Batch ‘B’ of the corps members deployed to the state.
Ahmed said: "You must be conscious of the fact that you have to be physically, psychologically and socially ready to face the onerous challenge of nation-building"
He advised the corps members to be serious with activities in the camp and not to allow any distractions and frivolities to affect the needed commitment in attaining the expected qualities of future leaders "which the NYSC scheme is designed to prepare you for".

Ezekwe, who said that a comprehensive time table has been drawn to encompass all requirements, including skills acquisition and entrepreneurial development to prepare the corps members for a meaningful national service implored the youths to ensure they fully participated in all the programmes.
The coordinator hinted that the corps members after the orientation course would be posted to serve in the areas of rural healthcare delivery, primary education, rural infrastructure and agricultural development.
She said this is the posting policy adopted by the NYSC to realise the transformation agenda of President Goodluck Jonathan.
